He was famous for many things such as painter, print maker, filmmaker, but he is famous in the world for visual art movement which is known as pop art these days. Today when we think of pop art we most likely think of Andy Warhol, that’s one of the fact that people can say Andy Warhol is famous with pop art.

The highest bid for Andy Warhol’s painting was $100million, which was 1963 Eight Elvises. This makes Warhol as valuable as Gogh’s, Picasso’s painting price.

 

From the time when Warhol was young he enjoyed to draw, listening to the radio and collected movie star’s picture and placed it around his bed. Warhol himself said that that was a part where his personality was made. He was an outcast from the society people called him mamaboy, he was a boy who loved his mum too much.

In 1968, June 3^rd in Warhol’s Studio a man called Valerie Solanas shot Warhol 3 times but only the 3^rd one really got through him in the lungs stomach and etc, doctors in hospital said he was dead but he was alive and this attempted murder was made as a movie 1995 called [I shot Andy Warhol].

Warhol’s art world is related to America’s product. He used a lot of america’s product, he said that ‘The Coca-cola I drink is the same Coca-cola that the America President drink.” He wanted to come to the people with the most common subject to the public.

Warhol has his own museum in his name. The Andy Warhol museum it one of the biggest america’s museum that is given to an artist, the other one is Andy Warhol museum of Modern arts.
