If you see in the video you can see that jack pollock is described as a thief, and i think the eating part means like absorbing the art itself inside of him.

People say that pollock was a very aggressive man. He used to draw pictures like picasso. When the critictizers said something about his painting infront of him he actually started to fight with them.
Critics, criticized him saying his works are like picasso but picasso is better than him, even though he would try hard he would not be able to follow picasso's footstep.
(the picture below is the one that critics criticized.)

but when he poured the paint on the painting by mistake he knew that that was his way. His style of painting was a BRAND NEW style of painting in human history.
His most expensive painting was [No.5] in 1948. It was sold on the price of $ 104,000,000 by David Martinez at 2006.11.1(New York Times).
